The public is invited to a Homes for a Changing Region Community Workshop on Wed., Nov. 13 from 6–8pm at the City of Batavia City Council Room. Batavia is one of the several area cities developing a Homes for a Changing Region plan, which will chart future supply and demand trends for housing in the community with the aim of creating a balanced mix of housing, serving current and future populations and enhancing livability. Come learn about national, regional and local housing trends that will shape the supply in our community. Let your voice be heard and bring your friends and neighbors. The Gordon Flesch Company Charitable Foundation recently presented a check of $2,500 to Suicide Prevention Services of America. The Foundation contributes up to $100,000 annually to nonprofits in communities where their customers live, work and play. Donations have topped $1,000,000 since the Foundation’s inception in 2001.
