PROM-O-RAMA 2010 is just around the corner on Saturday, March 6 at 2 pm at the Eastside Community Center’s Shannon Hall. If you have a teenager going to prom, you need to get a ticket to this event. Call MainStreet or visit our Web site for more information today. April 30 Green Walk—The “Green” scene invades downtown businesses on Arbor Day from 5-9 pm. Area green businesses, artists, municipal projects and school groups converge downtown to showcase their energy saving and creative ideas. Plan to dine downtown and make a night of it. Stroll downtown and see how you can be part of Batavia’s environmentally and arts friendly community. Gala on the Fox 2010—EVERYONE is invited to Batavia’s Gala on the Fox, this year on Saturday, March 13 at Piper’s Banquets. We listened to you and have moved the event to a Saturday night and have a sumptuous catered upscale Caribbean dinner planned for you. Round up your friends and neighbors for a night to remember full of live entertainment, a silent and live auction all to benefit MainStreet’s downtown revitalization efforts. Tickets are available online at downtownbatavia.com or by phoning the MainStreet office at 630-761-3528. The price is $50 presale and $55 the week of the event (if available). Auction items will be listed on the MainStreet Web site the week prior to the event. No walk-in registration allowed. This is Batavia’s “don’t miss event” so don’t get left out this year! Downtown: Everyone’s Neighborhood MainStreet is all about building community in “everyone’s neighborhood.” Please consider volunteering your time and talents in 2010. If you are waiting for an invitation, this is it! MainStreet volunteers help plan and man events, work on streetscape projects, recruit and retain business and raise awareness for our projects. We also need office volunteers for mailings, help with event preparations and assistance at special events and our Farmers’ Market.
